Full Description & Itinerary

Your journey begins in the early morning with pick-up from Shiroka at approximately 07:00 AM.

Pick-up is also available from Shkodra at approximately 07:30 AM.

Hotel pick-up within Shiroka and Shkodra (within a 5 km radius) is included. All pick-up details will be confirmed via WhatsApp: +355683680081.

07:00 AM – After meeting your guide, you will begin a comfortable transfer toward Komani Lake. Along the way, the scenery gradually transforms into one of Albania’s most dramatic natural regions, with mountains, valleys, and traditional northern villages.

09:30 – Upon arrival at Komani Lake, you will board a boat and begin your cruise through one of the most spectacular landscapes in the Balkans. The journey takes you through narrow canyons, steep limestone cliffs, lush green hills, and remote settlements visible only from the water.

During the cruise, you will experience calm waters and incredible panoramic views at every turn. Your guide will share insights about the region, its history, and local life in northern Albania, making the journey both scenic and informative.

10:50 AM – As the boat approaches Shala River, the landscape becomes even more dramatic. Crystal-clear turquoise waters appear between rugged mountain walls, creating a natural paradise often called the “Albanian Thailand” due to its striking beauty.

Upon arrival at Shala River, you will have free time to enjoy this untouched destination. You can swim in the cold, refreshing mountain water, relax on the white pebble beaches, or explore the surroundings at your own pace.

Optional activities are available on-site, including kayaking or canoeing, as well as riverside dining at local restaurants offering fresh traditional food in an incredible natural setting.

Throughout your time at Shala River, you can:

16:10 – Upon arrival back at the dock, your driver will take you back to your original pick-up point in Shkodra (18:10) or Shiroka (18:30). The return journey marks the end of a full day filled with nature, adventure, and unforgettable scenery.
